LEADING housebuilder Barratt Homes says Yorkshire has led the way on a major Government backed initiative after it helped 211 local people move into a home of their own thanks to a lowest cost housing offer.
Completed sales of the scheme – known as HomeBuy Direct – were higher for Barratt Yorkshire than any other region in the UK. This involved teams from Barratt Yorkshire West and Barratt Yorkshire East helping buyers who were eligible for the Government funds to locate their ideal home within the limited time available.
John Reed, Regional Managing Director of Barratt Yorkshire commented; “More than 200 people in Yorkshire now own the roof over their head thanks to the outstanding performance of our sales advisers who set the standard in matching people to the home of their dreams.
“Everyone at Barratt worked incredibly hard to make sure the public money available enabled as many people in Yorkshire as possible to take the all important first step on the property ladder.
“Barratt remains committed to finding new ways of assisting buyers and will continue to do so with as many innovative schemes and incentives as possible.”
Abbey Coulson and her fiancé Daniel Laverick took advantage of the money-saving scheme to purchase a new Barratt home. She commented:
“We are thrilled to be living in our dream home; we never thought that it would be possible. The sales team arranged everything from financial advice to meetings with solicitors making the whole buying process completely stress free.”
